Test Kilns

A couple of years ago I bought a small "AIM" electric kiln for that very purpose. It was about one or two cubic feet at most and only used

110 volts. It reached cone 10 in about 60-90 minutes if you left it on high. I mostly used it for test tiles but it was handy to have for an occasional small piece that I needed fast, without waiting for enough ware to fill my other kiln. I had never heard of an "AIM" kiln before but took a chance and was satisfied. It cost about $300 at that time. (By the way, it's on loan to friend now about 800 miles away, which is why I can only guesstimate its dimensions.)
