African Wall Hanging - new pix

Here's the link to my webshots album to check out my latest quilt "Savannah Sunset". Original design, I worked out the background and drew the 3 figures and zebras in EQ6. Hard to see in the pix, but there is a map of Africa in the background quilting, you can zoom in on it. It was a really fun project to do, not nearly as stressful as the raffle quilt I did earlier in the year . Took me a couple of weeks, on and off.

Just amazing, Bronnie. You are going to some 'stretching' places with your work. So very clever. I have my 'however did she think of that' expression on my face! It is stunning, but hasn't changed my mind about my favourite. It'll take something momentous to shift me from Spring Lake >g< I so love that. . In message , Bronnie writes

Fabulous! Now which upcoming big show (Houston 2008 maybe?) has a juried category for "town and country", where the 1st prize also includes transportation to the show? You are so good, you ought to enter! Roberta in D

Thanks girls for all your kind remarks. Too nice! It has already gone to the buyer so unfortunately I cannot show it any place. Now, on to my next project.... By the by, my antique quilt is to be shown for 1 month at our guild's biennial show next month along with another 150 quilts. Our members have been industrious.

That quilt is *really* lovely, Bronnie. However, I am laying full blame on you for another project. It has inspired me to make a couple of pillows for a good friend who just redid her new sewing/den/craft room, now that her daughter has moved out. She's put a small love seat in there. Pillows of the same theme and colors as your beautiful quilt would be perfect........One more Christmas present in the making. Thank you Bronnie, for a wonderful inspiration! :)
