I just have to say, I'm in heaven! For the quilters who live here, PLEASE thank your lucky stars you have the choices that you do. We're here for the balloon Fiesta. The local quilt guild is raffling off a beautiful quilt during Fiesta (and DH bought 3 chances while I was yapping). They graciously had a listing of SEVEN - count 'em SEVEN quilt shops in the area. I have managed to make it to six of them so far. Frankly I probably won't be able to make it to #7 as it's a hike and we do have commitments. BUT of the six I've been to, some of the most scrumptious fabric I've ever seen. Nothing like we have on the East Coast. And I only have ONE really LQS with another 2 about an hour away in opposite directions. DH has been a great sport about it
- even ventured into a couple with me. While yes, there are some fabrics that are really local flavor, the bulk are normal, beautiful, lovely fabrics that are just totally different from anything I have access to. None of them sell online, per se, but all are willing to ship if you see something on their websites. Anyone interested, email me off list and I'll be happy to provide website and other contact info for these shops. Haven't really bought much as I'm not a 'stasher' but a girl can drool. At least I didn't get kicked out of any stores for leaving a trail of drool on my way out the doors.
