....and by the way......

Where is Larisa? Is she sick and I missed the post? Is she on a trip and I missed the post? Did she wash away in the floods of WV and she can't post! Anybody know?

Larisa lives in Waynesboro, VA, not sure how far from the flooding in WV she is but Waynesboro is only about 100 miles from VA Tech Campus. dont know if that has any bearing on her whereabouts. just a thot, jeanne

I'm here....somewhat. I think "breakdowns" are going around. I hit a massive wall and got to where I couldn't and didn't want to do ANYTHING!!! I've cut out a LOT of stuff that I had in my pending, importnant, needs to be dealt with immediately files and am trying to step back, take a breath and slowly start working again.

I've had to turn down what could have been a wonderful opportunity for me and my sewing - the time requirements would have destroyed my marriage and relationships with my children. It hurst that I can't contribute more to the group that offered me the position, but for now, I will content myself to filling their sewing needs and let others be coordinators.

I have 1 client for my volunteer work with a local organization to help underprivileged kids attend their proms (Cinderella project) and will be working on a tux tomorrow and Friday for a prom on the 28th.

Tonight I am going through my clothing fabric stash to see what I can actually keep and what needs to be rehomed. Also seeing if there are any fabrics that can be made into clothing for SMC.

Basically, I have put up a serious wall, my palte is too full, and I just can't handle anything right now. So...I am setting small goals. Today, my goal was to finish the blanket for the PTA fundraiser. I did that and managed to get laundry done, though that wasn't a pressing concern of mine. Now I'm fondling fabric and that's about all I can manage tonight.

Tomorrow is soon enough to start worrying about what to pack for the children and myself as we head off to Busch Gardens for a weekend with my mother (this is her birthday present for Thomas - birthday on the 25th).

We haven't been hit by flooding, but lost several shingles off our roof with the lovely high winds. Have a temporary patch up there tonight and hopefully will have shingles up sometime tomorrow. The whole Tech thing has us all on edge and heart-broken. Ken works with some Tech alumni, I dated a guy from there and have friends who graduated from there.

So, that's where i am sort of. I'm reading, just not bothering to post much. WIll update as I can and as it's asked for.
