I bought the pattern book at one of my not-so-local yarn shops and went in search of the yarn; part of my yarn snobbery is using the same yarn as in the original, or if I can't do that without taking out a second mortgage I find something similar. I was worrying about how to justify the expense when I stumbled onto the Little Knits site and caught a major blow-out sale. I missed out on the full bag - 10 hanks for $97 - but I got enough for this sweater at $12.10 per hank, regular price $22.
Yee-ha! Now I'm working frantically on my Cardigan for Arwen from the winter 2006 issue of Interweave Knits so I can get started on this one. I promised myself that this year I would actually finish one major project before starting another - socks are always on needles no matter what else I have going on - but this is so tempting...
