Just wondering

Typically, three. Right now I am working on a replacement moebius (DD adopted the first one) and a pair of socks. Just finished a charity sweater-vest. (Pix soon.)

I have probably at least 10 projects going on right now, but I have a tendency to jump around a lot. I need to buckle down and finish some. Maybe this cold weather will help some :-D

I try to keep it down to two at any given time but right now I have three things on needles: Socks (finished one, haven't started the other, but not the BFL Sex Socks which are finished), a pair of outer mitts for the boy (we've got weather, though by the time I finish the second one today I think most of the "snow" will be gone), and a sweater for myself that I think I may rip as it's been stalled for a month with no progress nor desire to work on it.

My resolution again this year is to work out of stash and buy no yarn or fiber. I had already committed to a fiber coop so I have 10# of nice tops coming, but I bought into that before the end of the year so it doesn't count.

And of course when the boy asks me for a sweater in a particular color that I don't have in the stash, well, that calls for a trip to the LYS, right?

Lots. I just saw something in entrelac that I want to do, so have been working practice pieces learning it. I have a couple sweaters on hold while I figure out what I want to do with them, another one that I'm redoing, and a scarf/hat set that I'm working on too. And several other ideas floating around my brain that I'm trying to find yarn for.

Three seems about right - though sometimes I have four. I like to switch off to different needle sizes occasionally. Right now I have a pair of gloves for my daughter, a cardigan sweater for DGD#3, and a bag for me (NYCO) on the needles. Waiting in the wings is another vest for DH. I have plans for more socks but they aren't on the needles yet and will wait in line behind the gloves as they go in my little project, go along with me project bag and are also knit one size 1 needles like the gloves. I am thinking about mittens for DGD#3 as well and have yarn for a sweater for my daughter --- but these have to wait a bit. Today I will mail my finished projects to the twins my former client had in November (2 baby ski sweaters and hats - they have a second home near Sun Valley)

I am going to try to stick to things that use up yarn I already have -- there is certainly plenty of that to keep me busy.

Actively, I have 3 going on right now - a cardigan for me, a "cat mat" for one of my kitties, and a throw for a friend. I usually have socks hiding there somewhere, too, but I'm in a bit of a sock moratorium. I should have the cat mat finished today, then I'll likely start the other one - 2 cats, 2 mats . Then there's the "sweater with love in every stitch" that my youngest wants me to make her, for which I purchased yarn this morning. I'll likely put that on needles tonight.

I'm not including the shawl and lace cardigan that I put on hold when I was in the hospital in July. Both are warmer weather items, though, and we're having a bit of a cold snap here in sunny SoCal. I'll get back to these after I'm done with the cold-weather stuff.

Right now, I have 3 active projects on the go and a couple of UFO's. One UFO is to be frogged and the yarn re-wound to become something else when I figure out what.

The active projects are: a shawl that was to be for my dear sister for this just past Christmas, but alas, I need much more time. It's a laceweight shawl in gorgeous alpaca. I do work on it almost everyday, and hope to have it done in plenty of time for next Christmas. (sigh)

a late pair of Christmas socks for a dear friend who surprised me with a Christmas gift I wasn't expecting. ;>) We had a bit of a go round to find some sock yarn (in my stash) that would be suitable. The socks are being done both at the same time (well sort of) on 2 separate sets of dpn's. They are both ready to do the heel flap, so they'll be finished soon and in the mail for her.

a silk/cashmere scarf for me. The yarn is absolutely yummy and I got it from Elann before it sold out. I'm almost out of yarn from the second ball, so it will be finished soon too. I really want to be able to wear it this winter.

I'm trying to be on a yarn diet as well, working only from my stash, but am allowed to shop for yarn when I go to knitting camp in July. I've decided I have to know what the yarn will be for, or I can't buy it.(snicker). So, I have to get busy and find a couple of projects I wouldn't mind doing, and in what yarn. I don't know how well I'll keep to it - I'm SO weak.......

I make this same resolution every year. I usually hold out until March with the good LYS has it's big "year-end" sale. I'm going to try to be good this year though, but the boy has already requested a sweater I can't make from stash yarn.

Session1 starts on my anniversary this year. I think DH would be a little narked if I wasn't home that day. I have my sights set on it for 2008 though!
