NYCO

I don't know who's keeping track this year, and I am NOT volunteering, even if I DO live in the volunteer state, however, I'll be making the:

Flower Petal Shawl, free pattern from elann.com @

printed the pattern, have my yarn, and consider this a super easy project.

Hi Noreen,

That is so pretty, now what color are you making it in? Did you see the picture of my wagon wheel shawl? The lady who has it, loves it and fits her very nice too. She's going to wear it down to Bingo and said it will bring her luck.

Hugs,

Nora

Hi Noreen,

Well, wish him a very happy birthday from Tom and I. I've now put it on the calendar so I'll remember next year. Now, if you have defensive driving classes he can take them for a cheaper rate. LOL

Yep, and he's already been a member of AARP for five years... oh THAT was fun, ME getting a card at 42 and using it for discounts, and having them look at me quite strangely! LOL, Noreen

I did keep track of the NYCO for 2005 and won't mind doing it again next year.

It is a lot of fun having something like this to keep me busy.

Take care Darlene in Toronto

That is really a lovely shawl. With my heart problems I could not knit it nowadays, it would get too heavy on my arms as it grew.

Good look with your project. Shirley

A few years ago, we decided that we spent too much time knitting for other people, so we made a resolution that we would knit at least one thing for ourselves. The deal was that we would cast on on January 1st, so it was called "New Year's Eve Cast-On".

My NYCO has to be the 'St Brigid' sweater by Alice Starmore. I have the pattern, I have the yarn, I've even joined the Yahoo! Group. Now all I need to find is the time! :-)

Well I do have a sweater that I want to knit for myself so maybe that is going to be my NYCO but am still deciding if I am going to do it.

I'm thinking that maybe I will make myself a sequined tank top, as I have a party to attend on 1/14. If I don't do that, I'll have to think of something else.
