No I have not. Too be truthful Mirjam I think if I had to knit it in parts I would get fed up with it after a few panels and give up. I seem to have lost the stamina for large items. Also I prefer to crochet rather than knit.

I did particularly like that shawl. Maybe I should do an exchange and ask someone if the would like to do the shawl for me in exchange for some beaded jewellery. LOL Shirley

Shirley ,,, if you have a chance try to find some camel wool , esp the thinner ones are HEAVENLY , very warm , no weight ......the thicker ones are warm , but look less elegant....there are usualy 2-3 shades of light biege to light brown ,,,

I used to think like you Shirley and than found out about Domino and entrelac , and from working in these techniques came to the realization that `sometimes` i can work in parts ,,, Although i still feel much happier withthe one piece seamless knitting ...

I understand your Crochet prefference, but i like both each for it`s merits !!! Have you noticed that one can now But Ready Made sweaters that are industrial knit , but adorned with hand made crochet adornments ,,,, When i was 12-14 , it was quite fashionable to make a vest with woven cloth front panels and knitted or crochet back , and sweaters with woven body and knit or crochet sleeves. If you feel you can`t make Big items , why not buy a nice piece of fabric , and finnish it around with crochet, this way you will have the afgahn , have added a personal touch , and not over worked on it ??? mirjam
