Darlene,

Not sure if you meant me or another Susan, but my NYCO is a black shawl for the wedding in May, and because I can never just work on one project, a felted hat will be made just for me as well.

Hugs, Susan

Hi

I'm sorry I was replying to Susan K. but I have made sure your project is also on the list.

My NYCO is going to be either a shawl or shrug. I want something I can wear around the house or maybe for a quick trip to the store. Kristine in Germany

OK, I'll jump in, as suggested elsewhere. :)

I am going to make myself a pair of purple mittens! (And also a quilt for me and DH, but that doesn't need to be cast on. :) )

Hi Kristine - Do you have a pattern for a shrug? I found one on Knitting Pattern Central

"Venus" that is larger andmore substantial than some of the other shrugs I've seen. It is knitted flatin one piece on circular needles, and then folded in half and seamsstitched.

I'm justfinishing one for my DIL. I used a double strand of Lion brand "super softy"to get the gauge, and while I think it's probably a bit thicker than theyarn used in the pattern, it seems to be what DIL wants.Susan K

Hi Darlene,

Put me down on your list as I'm going to make myself another hat using the pattern Katherine gave us the other day and the yarn that I got for Xmas from a lovely friend.

Hugs,

Nora

Okay, I'm going to try this NYCO thing this year. My project will be a sweater from Interweave Knits Spring '03 magazine called Mandalay Medallions. The photo shows it done in a lovely burgundy yarn, but it was not available at the shop I was at when purchasing the yarn. I will do it in a pretty dusty blue. The yarn is Reynolds Mandalay which is a silk yarn. It has a yoke of crocheted medallions and then the body and sleeves are knit plainly in the round. Then it looks like there is a crocheted scalloped edge on the bottom and sleeve edges.

What pattern Katherine gave us the other day? I must have missed it. Was that when I was still having problems getting on here and was going through google instead... because I was reading *very little* when I went through google. *sigh*
