Just adorable, Cheryl. Heck.... you got that done in NO time! :-) Aren't 'cha glad?
E's quilt is quite lovely too...... I'm very fond of floral prints, and her border is just gorgeous.

They are all pretty but I love the one that was finished last Tuesday. If it needs a home, this home in Kentucky will display it proudly. :)
Jacquel>Well and truly finished now - and I have enjoyed a nice cup
Roberta, can you remind me of your way do you think.TIA
Adorable, Cheryl! That's *really* adorable! I don't think I've ever seen a more cuddly dragon.
How pretty! :) She did a beautiful job on the scalloped edge, too!
Oh RATS! I was planning on placemats and napkins for Christmas gifts for a couple of friends. Maybe I'll just make a bias tape and sew it by machine. OR serge the edges. OR birth them (which I don't really like) OR------?what else? Help me, please. Maybe I should just give them a gift card to a restaurant. Funny, thoughts of the dreaded hand stitched binding never occur to me when I'm starting out on a project. Why is that? I just sort of glaze over the parts I don't like. NUTZ Morag in Detroit
Morag.... I needed to make these "quickly" so I used "cheater" fabric - the double-sided, pre-quilted stuff..... there are some LOVELY ones out there. I made my own bias tape, and machine stitched one side, then folded it over and hand stitched the other. They really turned out beautifully. Even though there were six of them, it went quickly, as they are MUCH smaller than a quilt, and you can take them with you anywhere and do "stitching on the run". I love Marcella's idea though.... birthing just may be the way to go!!

Indeed - it just might! How do Pati and Patti feel? >g< . In message , Pat in Virginia writes
Thanks, Marcella. I think that's what I'm going to do. The background is black and the focus fabric is black with brightly colored gingko leaves. Hand stitching black on black is something I promised myself I would NEVER do again--after my first queen siz bed quilt. Boy, did I learn fast!

Hey, five is good! When I'm sewing on binding, I'm convinced mine have seven or eight corners. :)
I think both are beautiful! I love the scalloped edge on the E quilt. :)
