What was I thinking???

Normal people make normal quilts with four corners -- all except Polly, whose quilts have five corners, if we're to believe her stories. ;) Last April I made a hexagonal quilt from one of Pat's wonderful patterns; okay, it only had two extra corners.

But whatever possessed me to leave the quilt I've been working on since July as an octagon??? This thing has *eight* corners, all of which had to be mitered as I applied the binding. Dumb, dumb, dumb. Oh well. The binding is on now, and I only have all of the handwork left to do.

The next quilt on my list has four corners.

Binding octagons is simple enough; just use duct tape. It now is availabe in some nice colors. Polly

Make a round one?

Or who says there has to be an edge at all? Quilt the earth.
