My Florida sewing room is up and running!

Finally got everything in place yesterday, so I celebrated today by making a pair of oven mitts! On our trip south, my DS2 was fascinated by some cat fabric at MaryJo's in Gastonia. I was going to make a couple of throw pillows for him to give as Christmas gifts for his ex-roommates. After discussing it this morning, we decided to make pillowcases instead (easier to take in his luggage on the plane). Needed one more fabric, so stopped into Joann's during our afternoon shopping run. He found another cat fabric, and DH found some paw prints and an autumn themed stripe for the accent strip, and everything was on sale, as well as an extra 10% on the whole order. Tomorrow I'll be making pillowcases! We've been playing tourist with my son, including a trip to each of the parks at Disney World. Still have Epcot to go before he flies home to Canada on Nov 19th. Then I'll get busy at some of my projects before my quilt group gets into full swing.

It's good to know that another of the "Snow Birds" is down here. A always enjoy my winter in Central Florida! Barbara in Eustis, FL
