Well, Mary! I looked at the 1st picture and thought "that's pretty but it's not very baby" and then I saw the close-up. It's wonderful, it's precious. I love the happy turtles, Good for you, Mary. Delightful. Polly

Thanks...... close ups always help. :) My dad called it a figure 8 turtle race. When I saw the fabric it made me smile so I bought some not knowing where or how I would use it. Mom's bath aid and social worker said I better not give it away until they could see it.

I love it! I am now on my third baby animal quilt. Seems everyone is doing their nurseries in baby animal themes these days. Whatever happened to pink, blue, green or yellow?

I did a baby froggy quilt which is now at the quilters; I have a baby dinosaur quilt almost done (boy was that fabric hard to find) and now I have a baby jungle animal quilt in the works. Both the dino and jungle quilts are for the same baby. Grandma lives in Maryland and has a complete nursery set up down there which they did in baby giraffes. The baby jungle quilt has lots of baby giraffes in it so I figured that would go nicely. Of course now my nephew and his wife in Colorado are expecting again so I will need to do two more. Mom there is baby-theme averse so I won't be looking for "cutesy" fabrics. As soon as I know the sex of this baby, I'll start the hunt. I did a crib quilt for the first one in lollipops of all colors which is now at the quilters and a pink, lavender and white minkee quilt which is done. So the second one will get something similar. If it's a boy, you can bet Dad will do Jeep theme!

Love it. The baby will love it too. My DD had her baby quilt for 11 yrs you could read the paper thru it.

This time it was looking for a pattern to suit the fabric not fabric for the pattern.

Thanks. When I make baby quilts I usually go for bright and not focus on a theme. Your quilts sound darling. Hope you have pictures to share.

My brother collects turtles too. I'll have to hid this from him.

She really loved her quilt. No better way to show that love than wear it out.
