I have convinced my 4th graders to learn to sew and make hug quilts for AIDS babies and for the patients of a local hospice. Children's prints or brights would be nice since that is what we are starting with, but it really doesn't matter. The kiddies have read several quilting stories and understand the value to scrappy quilts.

Not necessary - I've recruited some parent volunteers to help me and my hubby says he will help me this weekend if I back up his computer.
