It's on the bed and looks great if I do say so myself! Unfortunately I can't post pix--but I know you all have great imaginations! It's a scrappy string quilt, strings sewn to 10" muslin squares, half light/half dark on the diagonal, laid out so they form an 8-point star in the center and then barn raising. It measures 114" by 104" and I'm almost sad to say is not too wide for our queen-size bed (it could be a few inches shorter, however--but not much for adequate tucking under.) Extra loft poly batting solely to please DH who is indeed worth pleasing. Completely machine sewn on my trusty Berninas 1000 and 1008. It's the second all-scrap quilt which I've finished this summer and I have become a real convert.
Think I'll sew a quick cotton top and skirt while I contemplate the next scrap quilt--and make a few more scraps in the process!
