Big surprise!

As I mentioned here last week, I was celebrating a BIG birthday on Valentine's Day. Saturday night my DH and I set out for a celebration dinner at a really nice restaurant. But....he actually took me to our community clubhouse where 40 of our family, best friends and neighbors had gathered for a surprise party!!! I can't believe that he pulled this off. I was clueless! We had guests from several cities and 3 states! It was amazing! My feet haven't hit the floor yet!

To keep this on topic, a good friend of mine from VA came up on Thursday and she and I went fabric shopping all day Friday. Little did I know that DH was out making all the arrangements, picking stuff up, etc. etc. And, I got two gift cards for Quilt Shops as gifts!! I can't even sew today...I'm still too excited!

Well, that's just so sweet I can hardly stand it! What a very loving thing for your DH to do. You sure did marry a 'keeper'. Happy for you, Polly

Ha, I KNEW T would be going up to PA for your special day, Alice. She mentioned it at the Bee on Wednesday night. I am glad you had fun. Did you hear the gang playing for you? Pat's Original Virginia Fife and Drum Corps was playing lots of Beatles Songs for you! PAT in VA/USA

Thanks for all the good wishes everyone! I'll definitely keep him; he's been around for almost 36 years now. We always joke that we know what each other are thinking....but I sure had no idea about this party!

See, Pat, even YOU knew! You'll have to ask T for some of the 5+ pounds of dark chocolate Wilbur Buds she bought in Lititz! Thanks for the serenade....I love the Beatles!

Like DH likes to add: WE know what each other may be thinking and we can finish each other's sentences--but we STILL can't read each other's minds.

Bitterly (Glad he COULD surprise you :)
