Birthing

Sorry my message was as clear as mud. I did not mean to birth the binding I meant birth the quilt, then there is no need for binding.

Essentially you put right sides together and sew almost all the way around. Leave an opening just big enough to reach in and pull right sides out. Then you can either hand stitch the opening closed or top stitch with your machine. Someone else also posted a link on doing it this way. So I hope that helps. Take Care Joanna

Now "Birthing" makes perfectly good sense but I would never figured that out. I hope all of you experienced ladies are not having too much fun confusing me just because I'm an inexperienced male quilter.

Thanks for the help.

We weren't always experienced, Jerry - and our teasing is an 'equal opportunities' activity >g< I have seen expressions on the newsgroup for years, sometimes, hoping to guess what it means from the context; usually I have to 'fess up and ask! . In message , MaleQuilter writes
