Carol Doak gets 5 gold stars

LOL! I only specified DVD, since I thought it might make it easier for her to find, Polly. They all look the same to me, but my computer only likes to record the CDs. ;)

I just told dd I needed to tape a show later. She reminded me that we don't tape shows anymore we record them to the dvr. A 22 year old is not too old to chase down and smack.

While everyone else carries an Ipod I have a 40 year old transistor radio that I carry around and listen to. Since we collect radios I have a never ending supply of the things. Doubt I'll start a trend but that's ok with me. TAria

It certainly was a fun birthday. Something like 72 birthday cards came in - one of my most favorite things is totally terrible, in poor taste, awful birthday cards. Very few were socially acceptable. The favorite is one depicting a 'mannogram'. You can imagine. I was only suggesting that the best way to get something you would really like to have as a gift is to Do It Yourself. Polly

Oh Polly - if only I had known.

I have some wonderfully "politically incorrect" cards here. But I was under the impression that you were a proper southern lady and that such things would shock you into the vapours LOL

Watch out next year!!

Howdy!

Now I'm changing the subject line 'cause it's turned into a flood of well-wishers for Polly's birthday.

Polly, in your honor I'm going back thru' some of my old birthday cards and re-reading the " totally terrible, in poor taste, awful" cards; there seem to be plenty of those. (note that I keep them )

In your honor, there being no cake here at the moment, I'm opening a new bag of M&Ms (fresh M's--the best!) and tossing a few around while I wave to the northeast of here. Happy Birthday, keep celebrating: you won't be 45 forever. (*snort* as you discovered ) Glad to hear it's been a quilty birthday so far w/ plenty of reading material. Cheers!

Ragmop/Sandy--picking up the tossed M&Ms 'cuz I don't waste any p.s. Carol can send you gold stars if she wants to

Well Polly, I'll toast to you with tea and graham crackers if that's okay. Here's wishing you an exceptional long life filled the warm quilty hugs and squishes!

Thank you very much but we've had quite enough birthday here. There's a burn ban for the Katrina area because of all of the remaining debris and dead trees and such - so we didn't even put candles on my cake. You know you're getting older when step one for setting the birthday cake table is to polish the fire extinguisher. Polly

Happy, happy Birthday, Polly!!
