Did anyone see the Confusion Quilt on Simply Quilts by Debbie Bowles. Think I would like to try making that quilt. I got the idea of how she put it together and the sizes of the blocks but I didn't get how much material of the 7 different colors is needed. Does anyone know? I'm not even sure what size quilt she was giving the amounts for. Anita

I bought that pattern and ended up giving it away. The instructions weren't hard to follow, but the end result was not worth the effort, IMO. I bet you could get similar results by doing a Bright Hopes (

) block, with large outside logs,then just trimming it with a ruler turned not square, so you get the wonkyset.
It is a single pattern, I purchased it late last summer when I saw it on Simply Quilts. It was the fist pattern I purchased that was not in a magazine or other quilting book. I love it... Once I get settled in her a bit more I should be able to locate it and look up the basic fabric requirements. Nice quilt to make and dazzling to use. juliasb

Yeah, sorry about that - it was the closest I could find with minimal searching! I meant just the one section - a square surrounded by rectangles. The Bright Hopes block I am familiar with uses partial seaming to complete, but you could get the same effect from doing it like Log Cabin or Cobblestones.
