CQ and critter quilts

Well, I finished going through the box of fabric from DH's sweet grandmother. None of it is cotton, and much of it is clothing projects that were never finished and most of the rest is scraps from clothing sewing from the 50's, 60's and 70's. I'm thinking about using them to do some CQ. There were some old sheets in there that have had sections cut off, but the material is still good. I think I'll use them for my foundation.I've never done this before, but I don't think it is that hard is it? Basically you just pick a piece for your start and then your next piece is laid down sewn and then ironed open and then you do the same for the next right? Any advise or hints to make the process go better?Also, there are some fabrics that I don't want to use/mess with. They are in usable shape, just not the right kind and not much of them. I remember something about someone here that does quilts for critters, but don't remember who that was. If that person could email me - address is not altered, or respond here I have about 3-4 smaller cuts of fabric and one that has a bit more yardage that you can have.
