Fabric dyeing 101 and beyond

It seems to me, a non-dyer, thatevery question is answered on this website.Last week, I was preparing fabric for photo printing and saving thewaste pieces ... after I had already rinsed off my new stash of batiksin hot water for bleeding (some of them did a good job of that!) ... Istarted thinking that if I had placed some of the ready-to-dye cottonpieces in the same sink with each batik - would there be enough colourto 'dye' the scraps? I shall have to remember to try it out nexttime. jennellh
