Thanks :-).
I read somewhere (a magazine?) that on-point/diagonal settings make a quilt fee like they have more movement. Given the theme, I thought the quilt should have that added action.

May I ask what font & type size do you use for those labels?
The reason I am asking is that I have a lot to say on this one. I tried some small letters (which would still require two hoopings of my
5x7-in hoop), but they did not turn out very well. Thanks, Bev in TX
I use my Bernina software and I experiment with the fonts and sizes so really can't say which one I use all the time. I can show the stitched out view so can see what it looks like and if it is easy to read or not. Sorry I'm not more help.
I did find some pics that I took of a couple of my labels, Bev.
I'm playing with - or you might say wandering around in the fonts and think 'classroom' suits my labels okay. Not excited about it but it does small neatly. Polly
Wonderful, wonderful, Donna. I'm going to learn to do that with my new machine. I do wish you would put your full name and location on them though. Probably not likely but just in case your quilts last a long time, it might be nice to know who and where. Polly
Wow! Those are absolutely gorgeous! I forgot about the built-in embroidery alphabets in my machine. I was trying some other fonts, using Embird's Font Engine.
I do have some more questions for you...
Thanks, Bev in TX
Never thought about putting location on there but that is a good idea, Polly! How did you get so smart? LOL
I'm not real sure how big the characters are-but they fit in the large oval frame that came with my Bernina embroidery module. I usually do a test stitchout to be sure that I like the size and if I don't I just keep reducing or enlarging it until it is a size I like. I use OESD's polymesh cut away stabilizer most of the time. I do use regular quilting weight cotton for my labels--sometimes muslin, Kona cotton, etc.

Just paying attention, Donna. How we wish that you could wrangle around and join us for the Pensacola quilt show. We would just so Love to meet you. Polly
I added some pillowcases, which you can see at ...
I think that they turned out fairly well and were easy to make. I've even promised my DH to make some for us (no cats) :-).

Oh, I wish I could, Polly. I need very little encouragment for a trip home! I am the Hospitality Chair for our show and have to be there both days all day! The Pensacola show is early this year, isn't it? I remember it being in March. Would love to meet you, too! Maybe it will work out some day for a meet-up!
Love them, Bev!
