Finally finished something! +pictures

i'd think the better way was to inform int'l buyers on the site what the shipping might be first. then if they agree, dont charge til after the item is mailed. maybe that only works on credit card purchase. not sure how other methods of payment would work. i thot in usa the item was alway sent then charged to the card. charging that enormous amount first then refunding seems silly to me. dont they get charged for both transactions on a credit card.

So, good marks for a positive response to a complaint - but it's a shame that default shipping for overseas customers is such as to chase them off in the first place. It's a bit of a leap of faith to pay and hope for a refund of some $30.

Connecting Threads also have a 'Look inside' on this. Amazon don't even have a picture of the front cover. However Connecting Threads don't ship overseas, so I will 'Amazon' on Monday as DS has promised me an Amazon Gift Voucher for my Birthday! £13.76 with free delivery here ($22). I do like Amazon tokens and this looks a perfect need/buy at the moment as I'm having a bit of a blitz on UFOs that are just waiting quilting! Just wish I was a few days older and I would order it NOW, but will contain myself and plod on with the boring walking foot stuff!

I LOVE the quilting. I've never seen those feathers, and it so gets rid of the yucky "stitchover" part of regular feathers. I'm definitely looking into that book.

I rarely marked for regular feathers. I would mark the spine line, especially in a border that has to turn a corner. I have tried the "backtracking" feathers, and the separate feathers, but wasn't happy with either. I don't have a stitch regulator on my machine, so I could never get the stitches as accurate as I liked.
