i'd think the better way was to inform int'l buyers on the site what the shipping might be first. then if they agree, dont charge til after the item is mailed. maybe that only works on credit card purchase. not sure how other methods of payment would work. i thot in usa the item was alway sent then charged to the card. charging that enormous amount first then refunding seems silly to me. dont they get charged for both transactions on a credit card.

So, good marks for a positive response to a complaint - but it's a shame that default shipping for overseas customers is such as to chase them off in the first place. It's a bit of a leap of faith to pay and hope for a refund of some $30.
