Finally finished!!

I finally finsihed the quilts made for my son's two preschool teachers.
For the pictures you can go directly to them here:

or use my links in my signature (either one will work) and make your way to them. The hand prints were done by my son and his classmates. I can't wait to see their faces when we give them to them tomorrow!!
For the labels I decided on this poem:
I chose this special present because I wanted you to know,
That I'm grateful for your hard work in helping me to grow.
For your constant understanding and for always being there,
To tell me I can do it and to show me that you care!

Charlotte, those quilts are adorable! I think your idea has come out very well, and the poem on the back underscores the idea so nicely. :)

Charlotte, I love the way you have made those handprints into flowers. What a wonderfully evocative picture they make. The teachers are going to love them. . In message , Charlotte writes

Thanks for the kind words. We gave them to the teachers today, and they just loved them. They knew they were getting quilts with the childrens hand prints on them (that is because the prints were done at the school), but had now idea what the quilts would be like. They really enjoyed the 'flowers'. They were both very touched that someone would put so much work into something like that 'just for them'. To me those are the people that are the most fun to make quilts for and the most worthy to recieve one. They are usually the ones that give so much of themselves to others and yet don't see themselves as anyone special or doing anything that great. It was really fun to beable to show them (at least a little bit) how wonderful they really are.
