Finally! I'm a real QUILTER!

Oh, a class with Phillipa Naylor....coool! Her work is outstanding! I do think there is one direction that works much better than another when freehanding. I know I whine, I just need to practice more. And practice more. And then some more.

Leslie, if that's your first practice piece, I'm truly impressed! Wow! My sixth practice piece didn't look that good! BTW, I used that "headbands" motif on my African Feathered Stars quilt, and I really like it -- it's such fun to do.

Not bad at all!! If it weren't black on white, most people would be thrilled to do as well. Don't be so hard on yourself. And fingers crossed for the surgery! Roberta in D

Wonderful news, Leslie! Let us know how it all goes for you. I have tackled machine quilting with a simple Singer 301 and I can tell you that it's loads of fun. Your wonderful machine will have you loving it even more than I do, I'm sure!

P.S. I thought you were a "real" quilter almost from the first time I read one of your posts!
