from DrQuilter (Marissa)

Hey guys, it has been a long time. My laptop stopped cooperating, and reading the newsgroup became too complicated.. anyway, I am just emailing to let you know I finished two RCTQ projects in time for my guild's 2007 show, and I have pics to show you!

The first one is my 2005 BOM quilt:

I made one extra block, set them on point with red triangles and blue sashing strips, added the narrow yellow border and then finished it with the triangles - it just needed rounded corners (so much easy to bind!! :o)

The other one is FINALLY my MQ, which I called Y2K+7 - all made in

1x3" strips. This started because someone in the ng decided 2000 3" squares would make too big a MQ, so I got the strips left over from trimming her traded fabrics to 2" squares. We made this one with DH - and let it acquire the shape it wanted, as long as each rail fenc-ish 'block' contained 20 different fabrics. I then machine quilted it in my version of McTavishing. The back has some 2000 fabric plus the signature squares from some RCTQ members:

Please send messages to my gmail addy (drquilter at gmail dot com) because I am not sure I will be able to read the ng any time soon...
