Finished March BOM

Mar 04, 2007 18 Replies

At last! All my blocks are done. I did two each month, and I'm making one extra because I need 25, and I'm making a few more half-blocks because of the way I'm setting it. I'm ready to start putting it together. Here are the March blocks. LOTS of little pieces!!!!

As usual, Carole, those are great!! Your Mom will love it!

Gosh, Carole! That's going to be just wonderful! I really like that staggered setting. :)

Thanks Sandy and Donna. The staggered setting is a result of trying to make that many blocks turn into a good size for my mom's bed. I don't have quilting software, so I sat down with graph paper during the times between blocks and came up with this plan. I wanted to work in the batik kitties if I could, and this made a good way to do that.

It's gorgeous! Congratulations on the wonderful blocks! I think you might be the first to complete them all!

That's stunning, Carole. I really like the setting (and the sashing fabric!) Has it used up much of your cat fabric hoard? >g< . In message , Carole-Retired and Loving It writes

Wow, that's sweet. Looking forward to seeing it completed. What a nice quilt that will turn out to be. Thanks for the sneak peak.

All I can say is "WOW!!!"

LOL! Thanks, Billie. Those last two blocks were almost like making miniature quilts. It's a good thing they were spaced out over several months because now that I look at all the blocks together, I doubt I'd have ever taken on anything that complicated if I had seen it from the beginning!

"you're a WEEK late?" must of been one hell of a good party, TL. :)) so you think its outstanding to be a WEEK late do you. hmmmm, didnt i read here recently that you have a ggc on the way soon? some folks just dont know when to stop procreating. :)) snorfle, jeanne

LOL - snorfle, indeed. Now get over here, and clean the coffee off my laptop screen!! I meant I was a week late getting to look at pics and reply to my friends. Sheesh!! No more procreating for me - 8 grown, 15 grands, and a great grand on the way is plenty, thank you!!! (G'mornin' Jeanne!!)
