Yoda's Squishy Quilt is finished.

I just finished handquilting and binding this weekend. Webshots has been insufferably slow, but please take a look if you can. This is the twin sized quilt I made from the squishy squares I received. It's really a treasure to me.

That is just lovely. I am still hugely taken with your idea of the

9-patch row round the outside of the special squares part. . In message , Sherry writes

Very pretty, especially the lovely lilac/purple row of HSTs :-). The QI is doing a GOOD job, too! CiaoMeow >^;;^<

What a beautiful quilt, Sherry. I was wondering how earth you managed to do such fine quilting and realized you had hand-quilted it. I'd think it would be darn near impossible to achieve that beautiful stitching on an SM. Lovely, just lovely. Polly

I love your quilt, Everything about it just appeals to me....looks like Grandma's prize quilt even though it's just newly finished. You did such a wonderful job putting it together from start to finish, arranging the blocks to the final hand stitch! You must be so thrilled with it and your QI looks pretty comfy too! lol Donna

Absolutely beautiful Sherry! Your handquilting is fantastic. (Gosh, and you're fast too!) I can see that another of your QIs has given his/her seal of approval. :-)

Michelle, it's the weirdest thing. That cat showed up in the yard just a couple days after Yoda died. We live wayyyy in the country. No idea where she came from, but I fed her. I wasn't keeping her and didn't even give her a name. But then it got cold, and I let her stay in the garage. Then I figured I better get her spayed, so I let her stay in the spare bedroom to recover from the surgery. You know the rest of the story. Now she has the run of the house. That was over a month ago and now she won't even stick her nose outside. She acts afraid of the "out". DH asks me every day "Have you found a home for that cat yet?" Sherry

Thanks, everyone for all the really nice comments. Pat, it wasn't really my idea, I downloaded a pattern. I'd never downloaded a pattern except the free ones, and this one was $8, but it just looked so suitable for a stack of lovely random squares.

I think you need to tell your DH--yeah, right here. ;-) She looks very comfy. So give her a name and make it permanent. (Yeah, I know easy for me to say....) She obviously has her QI duties down.

Absolutely beautiful and congrats on the new QI regardless of how she got there. Looks like a real beauty and has made herself quite a home.

The quilt is amazingly beautiful. And the kitty is too. I have always believed that the ones that find us are special.

Oh, lovely! I really admire the border effect you achieved with the nine patch blocks and the edging of purple triangles. Well done. PAT in VA/USA
