Finished a small one

A good friend of mine knew I'd admired her miniature TATW some months ago. She surprised me just after my birthday with a little "kit" with beautiful batik strips cut and ready for me to piece together for my own TATW. I pieced it and then set it aside for a little while to "age" before selecting borders and quilting. ;) Now it's finished. I've posted photos at , if you'd like to see it. I think my friend did a gorgeous job of selecting colors! :)

Here we go again. I love the minis but I want to come get up real close and 'awwwww' for a long time. That's just a wonderful TATW. Why don't you send it to me so I can admire it to my heart's content? Polly

That is a good friend! What a nice idea to put together a kit.

Your quilting is lovely. Someday I will be brave enough to attempt feathers.

Really beautiful .. I love the subtle batiks and the way they work together. I also like smaller better. You have a very sweet friend, AND a sweet TATW.

Thanks, Marcella! :) Feathers are my favorite, and they're lots easier than they seem at first. Come on over and I'll prove it. ;)

LOL! Thanks, Polly, but I'm a bit nervous sending it to a place inhabited by gators. Why don't you come here instead? :)

Lovely work Sandy! The colours really sing. Enjoyed looking at the pix of your recent work. Very very good machine quilting that I can only to aspire to. Hugs Bronnie (home again)

What a friend - and what a beautiful quilt! I'm guessing those ended up being 1/2" squares, right? Love the feathers!

Oooh, that's pretty! I like the minis also. Only TATW I ever made was king-sized!

Oh my goodness, what a little beauty! I can't imagine working with such small pieces but, you have done a wonderful job and the quilting is superb...wow...I'm jealous in a good way. Thank you so much for sharing this treasure. Donna

Thanks, Donna. :) It was surprisingly easy to make, as it was all strip pieced. :) Unfortunately, the color in the photos isn't the best; the border is definitely *not* gray!

You have my admiration, Ginger! I don't think I could have done a king-sized one.
