Need spiral rose pattern

I just *know* I've seen quite a few quilts with a rose that's cut from a single piece of fabric in a spiral shape, but I cannot remember where I saw it or exactly what it's called or if it starts with a square or circle of fabric. This is not a gathered or poofy or 3D rose, just a flat piece of fabric with a spiral cut out of it and it really does look "rose-ish". Does anybody know where I can find either a photo or a pattern for this? I have a birthday sneaking up on me tomorrow and the birthday girl is sick with a nasty cold, so I really need to have it done tonight to cheer her up! TIA

It's a quilt by Ann Fahl- or one of the spiral rose quilts that I was thinking of is by her.....

Those are clever.

I saw a lovely cushion yesterday - pale pink satin roses with 3D matching roses stitched in rows across the front - about 16 of them. I put it in my 'Memory Bank'!

Jan I have several of their patterns. I like them and their products. I actually was supposed to go to one of their annual retreats, but my work wouldn't let me off, even after paying for the trip. [I had put in for the time off, then was re-located to another worksite, my days off followed me but others had already put in for same days].

Here's how the birthday card front turned out using the spiral roses- it's 6 in. X 8 in.

Wow, that's a 'different' sort of quilt! It's really pretty, and unique. It will be much admired, I'm sure. . In message , Leslie & The Furbabies in MO. writes

That's wonderful! My birthday is in August. In case you wanted to file that in your memory bank. Any color is fine. :-)

Whoa. What a horror!

How can your work deny you a vacation date that was approved?!? ESPECIALLY after you PAID for a trip?

I own a company and have employees..... I am amazed that they would take such a risk with employee morale and employee finances.

Interestingly enough, that quilt artist will be on Simply Quilts on

3/13. Looks like she doing a different style quilt, but same person.
