Well, yesterday I decided I was going to quit procrastinating and sew some blocks together. I did this with some precut squares I received from a member of the group. I just sewed 4 blocks together until I used up all the blocks. Now I have to figure out how I am going to connect the blocks. I am soooooo happy and it was not near as hard as I had worried it would be. I think I have my 1/4" stitch down pat now, but I still lack some skill getting my centers lined up. All but one seem to be off just a frog's hair. I know it isn't perfect and I usually aim for perfection but this time, I was glad to know I could still sew, although it took me a couple of squares to get a good straight seam and could still use my sewing machine.
Thanks to all that helped, although this isn't going to be the prettiest thing I am going to follow it through to completion just for the learning experience. My dad likes it so well that he asked me if I would make him quilt for his "KING" size bed. I laughed and said, sure but I don't think I could quilt it on my machine. He doesn't know it but I bought some fabric to make him a lap quilt but not one for the entire bed.
