Finished thread painting wallhanging

It's done! There's no quilting except for the SITD between the pink print outer border and the inner cream border. The two inner mini borders are each 1/8 in. wide.

I chose the inner mini borders because of the suggestions of using a picture mat. Since I'm snowed in, I couldn't get to the store to buy a frame or other supplies so I used what I had in my stash. I'm pleased with it!

Thank you for all the help and advice and opinions. ;-)

That's just beautiful. Such a great idea to add a 'painted' border, to give you a perfect place for the tiny 'piping' strips. Quite lovely. Well done indeed. . In message , Leslie& The Furbabies in MO. writes

It looks great! I especially like the extra stitching in the cream border. Nice touch! Allison

That is superb Leslie. It came out so successfully with the border so beautifully painted too!

If if goes missing and shows up later with a bit of quilting, I want you to know I had nothing to do with it . . . and the furry faces are an easy bribe. One pack of Oscar Myer wieners and I could have anything in the place. =) Polly

Ahhh .... Pretty!
