9 patch was my first quilt also. They are fun to do. You will always remember your first quilt. You may do more complex ones, but your first one will always be special.

I don't know Karen, heck, this one took me over 3 yrs to finish. LOL No really the next one will be for one of by baby grandgirls. Yes I gave it to her yesterday and she loves it. Had me put it on her bed.
