Mary - I remember doing stuff like this with my Grandma..... and baking cookies! My grandma was actually the one who taught me to sew. These are precious times with your grandchildren. Enjoy... enjoy!

I will pass on all the good words to Tylr tomorrow. We are going to their house for dinner. I'm also going to suggest that my son take the boys shopping, or give them money and I'll take them, to get a yard or 2 of a couple fabrics and we will tear strips and cut blocks to make 4 patch blocks. I'm not comfortable letting them use a rotary cutter.
I'm thinking we need to work on this design a bit more. :)
I love some of the ideas the kids come up with. One day Hana at age 6 made a purse from an envelope and strips of paper. She then wanted one of fabric so away we went and she took home a fabric purse shaped like an envelope. Kids have the greatest ideas if allowed to explore.
I do enjoy every chance I get.
