Went to a garage sale today that had advertized they'd have quilt material. Did they ever!
But I got there early and the woman putting on the sale was really tired from the night before setting things all up and so hadn't gotten around to putting out the material yet....so I volunteered to help. Boxes after boxes of 100%! She was selling by the pound.
So I went home not only with some drill bits for my drill :) but also with a good pipe wrench, a neat old stool that just need refurishing, a really old brass floor lamp that's a easy fixer-upper and one huge bag of quilting material! What a blast.
The woman gave me a good deal because I had helped her haul out the boxes and set them up for her. Came home with $$ still in my pocket. It doesn't get any better then that!
