gift card

Good morning, I have a $250 gift card that is burning a hole in my pocket. I'd like to use it on something sewing or quilting related, but I'm not sure what to get. Any suggestions would be welcome. Two ideas I've come up with are Electric Quilter software, which won't take the whole amount, or maybe putting it towards a serger. Don't have a clue what to look for or about how much a decent machine would cost. Again, your input would be greatly appreciated. Linda

How to spend $250: send a few bags of dog treats to Yogi send four bolts to Steve send a few lime FQ to Jeanne send a few butterfly prints to Butterfly send several bags batting to Jill's Critter Quilts send a gross quilting betweens to Ragmop send a box of batik 'scraps' to Roberta and, of course, send a couple pounds Excellent Chocolate to me!

Yogi is doing his 'Dancing Bear' routine waiting for his treats. Meanwhile . . . careful what kind of bolts you send to Steve. After what he's been through we can only expect him to maintain a class act for so long. Lightning bolts might be fun. Polly

Thanks so much for looking out for our interests, O Queen! Me, I'd invest in a big bag of assorted thread, and spend whatever's left on a yard of every color of Moda marbles (or something similar) until it's gone. Roberta in D, Queen of the Scrap Heap

Good grief ... the cyber gremlins are at it again! I KNOW I typed 'four bolts of muslin to Steve'

Thank you. I sure could use the 'pick me up' about now after a whole month of a flare followed by a full week of migraines.

It's nice to be remembered.

Butterfly (Still won't be on much unit I get this under control)

I got a Janome 644d for $300 shipped from Ken's Sewing center. I actually bought the next model down but they were out of stock and substituted this model. I am very pleased so far. It is easier to use than my old (16 yo) expensive Bernette was. I wouldn't hesitate to choose this serger again. I have purchased a couple of machines online from Ken's and some accessories. They are really pleasant to deal with. NAYY. Taria
