Four of us from Meridian, Idaho went to HMQS this past week, actually in Sandy, Utah. We had a great time, took some good classes, learned some helpful tips, saw some beautiful quilts and bought a few more gadgets and projects. I have a JUKI on a Little Gracie frame that I am not too good with yet. I learned to move my body with the machine, keeping elbows still; there are only 5 basic shapes: arc, S, line, loop, hook; going over the quilting again makes it look better; and many other things. I also learned a good way to do machine applique from Carmen Geddes. I loved it!

Sounds like a fun time! One of these years I'm going to make it to one of the machine quilting shows! There are two within driving distance, so I have options. They sound like wonderful learning experiences.
