HMS Daring quilt

Hello all

Tis I again Newbie Eddie! Almost finished my latest quilt - much to my amazement . It should be in the Selsey Quilt show this August.

Finished off the last of the applique prior to binding. My question is this - How can I freshen/clean up all the sea and sky fabric which has become slightly grubby by being handled by my slightly grubby hands :-))?

Eddie

Well done Eddie! Sorry I can't help with your question, if you daren't risk washing the whole quilt. I'm sure there will be a solution from someone.

(Sorry not to have seen Sue at Malvern - might have missed her, as we were a bit late back from lunch. Never mind - we can try again next year.) . In message , Eddie writes

All my quilts get tossed into the washer and then into the dryer. But if yours needs gentler treatment, you could probably hand wash in wool soap, rinse thoroughly, and squeeze carefully -do not wring. Have plenty of towels ready to blot up as much water as possible, then dry flat. (Maybe upside down outdoors on a clean sheet, with another clean sheet on top. Roberta in D
