I have not made a quilt afterall!

Your man is dissing quilts! Maybe he'd go for "textile art" (which wouldn't satisfy me either but isn't as annoying as tapestry!) Roberta in D

Sandy, the pink and purple quilt is REALLY pretty. What have I missed some way along the way, who is Julia?

Thank you Kate - I won't be able to have a chat with the Minister until the service on Sunday. It isn't my church - I made the quilt at the request of a family friend who is a member of the choir - she wanted something to look at besides the blank wall at the back of the church. This Minister is also relatively new to the parish so wasn't around for much of the prep and planning work with the church ladies - in fact, I will only put faces to the names that I entered on the quilt on Sunday.

The quilt label does indeed use the appropriate words and I will use the quilt word whenever I can.

The label is there for all to read - I even managed to spell the original patternmaker's company correct (something I hadn't when identifying some older photos). There will also be a booklet that I am working on to plot out the map of the quilt and the squares for the signatures and the dates in history (1925-2001).

Thanks to all of you for your very kind words. Even my husband wanted to hang on to that quilt.

Julia is the daughter of one of our assoc. ministers; I'm w/ her most Sundays in the nursery, and was her Monday-minder last winter & spring. She's smart and funny and tall and when she waves she does that Princess/Beauty Queen wave, very funny. Julia is one of the kids who give me my "mama/grandma fix" for a couple of hours, then I'm Over It! *hmph* Julia went to England last week, right before her 1st birthday! Hey! *I* haven't been to England yet!!! and I've got a few years on her!!! LOL

Ragmop/Sandy --I never deliberately collected pinks & purples but when I went rootling the stash, what a P&P collection I have! The Baseball Swap stash is a big help, too. ;-P
