It's Official......

That explains why the last few shows on the September schedule were listed as TBA. Thanks for posting the notice, Bev.

Simply Quilts will go to *one* show per day at 8:30 a.m., beginning Sept.

29th. If you want the second show in the afternoon, you need the DIY netowrk......how clever of them to promote their sister network....... Buckeye Bev

Well, phooey! I don't get DIY with the satellite package I currently have. I'd have to upgrade to a package that costs (I think) $9/month more in order to get it. :(

same here with our cable, but you see...that's gotta be WHY they're doing it this way...more $$

That does it! I emailed them saying I would cancel HGTV when my renewal comes up next month.

Did you notice they said "In the past we would repeat Simply Quilts primarily so viewers on the West Coast would . . . not have to get up at

5:30 am to see the show"? What ever are they talking about. It IS on at 5:30 am.

They also ran it at 10am PST for those of us who didn't get up with the roosters, or tape it. Hence the "repeat"

but it's going to be on at 8:30 now...still too early in my opinion, but better

Howdy! Seems to me that as they only showed one new show per day anyway, and that for only a few weeks per season, almost everything was a re-run anyway. I won't be missing it, but then, I've never been a big fan of S.Q. anyway. But now I won't be missing one more re-run per day. Btw, Ruth, their plan is to show the program at 8:30a.m. Pacific time as well as Eastern time; it's we in the middle of the country who are supposed to tune it at 7:30 a.m., not very likely around here--I have to have my Charlie Gibson fix! Ragmop/Sandy--with no option to cancel HGTV unless I give up 20 other channels as well, and I have to have my BBC America!!!!

I miss BBC America! Had to give it up. Gave up HGTV too. I don't miss SQ, never really watched it, but I do miss the decor shows.

I subscribe a la carte. Apparently you can't do that if you have the little dish. I've considered getting one of those for more variety, if I could hook it in with the big dish with an A/B switch. What puts me off is that any "package" I've seen is about 90% stuff I never watch and leaves off too much stuff I do watch.
