I am on my third Janome embroidry machine and I do find a difference in the size of the bobbins. The very first one 8,000 has a smaller on and slightly curved top and bottom. The next Janome 10,000 had a curve on one side and was slightly larger than the 8,000. The next new one I think was a 12,000 (could be wrong on that number) but the bobbins were the same size as the 10,000 but flat on both sides. When I accidently get them mixed up that aren't reliable in the bobbin holder and sometimes slip and knot up the thread and ruin what I am embroidering.
