We are not laughing, Tania. We're just real pleased when someone acquires a SM and knows that it should be oiled (and cleaned, please). I don't speak Janome but there are some here who do. They'll help I'm sure. Tell her NOT to oil it until you hear from them, some SMs don't want oil. Polly

I don't see the model number you mention on either site -- perhaps you've already looked at these sites :-) or perhaps there is some alternative model designation?? Hmmmmm . . .

I wouldn't have thought to look on line except that my SO found the installation guide for a Bose sound system the other day.

I'm not gonna laugh, Taria. No way. I just most sincerely hope she has better luck than you have had. Sorry, but I don't know anything about that model- wish I could help out.

Looks like maybe you can get it here --under the Other category --

it appears that it is a New Home / Janome L-372

A lady gave this machine to my daughter, it looks in fine shape, the case is rather yellow. I started up , and it works like a charm, just not sure about where to oil, and daughter is worried that she wont be able to thread it now that I am not living close. So would just like diagram or numbers for her to thread. Thanks everyone for your replies. No luck with manual yet. Tania

I can't speak for all Janomes- obviously! LOL- but the ones I've had (all computerized models) only needed a tiny drop of oil under the bobbin case. I'd be hesitant to use any oil on it until you get a manual.

my sister just had her janome serviced and the man told her it was made so you can't oil it by yourself. it has to be done by a serviceman. don't know her model tho. karen(kz)
