It's German and loosely translates to:

I took it to mean stitch in the ditch as well but on the side not with the seam allowance (assuming the seam is pressed to one side). This side would be a tad higher and therefore cast a "shade" on the other side. Or are my meds kicking in????

I was sort of looking at this as a collaborative effort - just a tiny bit of possible clarification, Els. I wasn't able to do the really clever stuff. So - no hint of criticism, at all, that a tiny bit needed a tweak. . In message , FiederEls in NL writes
