Judy and I just returned home from the show which was an especially good one. I noticed that it was guarded by staff and no seemingly bad events happened. The winning quilts were lovely. I especially missed Eleanor Burns and Marti Mitchell. Also, there were new books or mention of Georgia Bonesteel or Gale Thatcher of Arkansas. Also no mention of Trudy H.
The other Guild I belong to is the ND one and our show is in September in Fargo, Nd. It's smaller and not so many miles to walk.
I was there too! Great show as usual....were you there when the lights went out? I saw John Flynn and Char Jorgenson....both were vending. Didn't take part in any classes this year.

I was there yesterday too. And yes, I was there when they had issues with the lights. I must say though, that I was a bit disappointed. It felt like it shrank since last year. I don't know, maybe it was just me, or the location made it feel smaller or something, but it just seamed like there was less quilts. I did enjoy myself though. Many beautiful quilts.
It was the room that was so much larger than usual.
Last year I thought the quilts were startlingly bright, this year I found a more peaceful and sometimes even restful quilts to linger beside and feel I'd been "cozy-ed" up to.
The lights had their outage while I was going through the vender sections...I immediately headed toward an exit. But they soon came back on and Judy and I went and had a Cappuccino on the 3rd floor. To gather our thoughts and rest "thee legs." My stamina is not what it used to be...I may just stick to the ND shows in Fargo...that comes up in September.
Sorry we hadn't arranged a meeting place. I have the Bread Bowl Chicken Salad for lunch. Delicious food this year. Made and served by professional caterers. I LIKE THAT.

I did't get there, but last evening I was visiting with a couple friends who had been there; both said they thought it seemed like there were fewer quilts this year than last year.
