Have Moda marbles gotten poorer in quality, or is it just the piece I bought? I got an off white and it's really flimsy. I embroidered on it and it wanted to pucker something awful. I've used quite a few Moda marbles with no problem, so I'm wondering it they've changed. It doesn't iron out the wrinkles worth a darn. I got it at a good quilt shop.

I have a hunk of inferior fabric here too, Gen. Mine's a Michael Miller and it is certainly not 'up to snuff'. I am hoping that a white batting will resolve its thin quality. Also hoping that after quilting and washing that it will be okay. Not happy though, mercy no, not happy. However, since you mentioned embroidery, I happened upon a stabilizer that prevents puckers. Don't know where I bought it or why. Could have been
10 years ago and maybe ageing a roll did it good. It is Clear 'N Melt from America Sews. It even holds double knit and fragile Swiss batiste gently in place for embroidery.
