I think I finally got the hot card technique to work, after buying some parchment paper.

I did mine a little differently, because I love the translucent quality of tissue paper and wanted to take advantage of that. So, after I did my blue polka dot background the regular way, I melted a piece of white tissue paper onto a plastic sandwich bag, skipping the cardstock, but still with the parchment paper underneath and on top. At first I tried using the plastic wrap, but it was too flimsy. (I just wanted to part way melt it, but the plastic wrap just melted too much and there wasn't enough left to melt again.)
Then I folded and cut the snowflake, then unfolded it and melted it to the front of the card.
Question: I'm still not sure if I've melted everything enough, if maybe my iron doesn't get hot enough, because I could peel the paper completely off if I wanted to. I mean, it isn't falling off by itself, but I could get it off if I tried. Is that just as stuck as it's going to get, or should I iron it more?
