Yesterday it was in my town. Yeah... a few weeks ago when my dog had passed on I was surfing their website to see if any classes appealed to me. There hadn't been any classes for several years that appealed to me. When I happened to scroll onto a class called "It's a dog's life" done by Rusty Pickle. It was a class for making a doggie memory book. PERFECT! I needed a pick me up and something to look forward to. I signed up. The book turned out SO nice. I may have to use this technique to make other books. I put pictures up in my webshots. It's in a new album called books. I've written brief descriptions about the book with each picture. At bottom of each picture is a magnifying glass with a plus sign. If you click on that it will make the picture fit the screen for easier viewing if needed.

I decided to go about 2 hours early to allow myself some time to look at all the exhibits and do a make N take or two. I only had one restriction on myself in the way of purchases... and Dave and maybe April I'll need you to cover your ears and say, "la la la la la" for a second... my restriction was "NO PAPER." I have a ton of paper and I just don't need any more until I start making a dent in what I have. :D I bought some Brad Buddies had never heard of them.

They are decorative metal pieces that you adhere with brads. They were of course having a sale... I bought 5. Next I saw a booth with something I had marked in a scrapbook magazine as something I wanted! I thought I'd order it online, but here it was and I wouldn't have to pay shipping. Yeah. It's a rotating tower that one can store their stamping ink pads in. I'd been wanting the Stampin' Up one for years, but the price just seemed a little more than I wanted to spend. I got this one for $35. I'm pretty excited. I put it together and started looking for all my stamp pads stashed around in my crafting room. Seems I can never find what I'm looking for. May lead to more creativity having to use only the colors I can find. hahaha Now I can use the colors I want. Then I happened upon a booth by Dollar Scrapbooking. It's the DollarTree of the scrapbooking world! I strolled through and got a few things. Like the DollarTree there were a few things that made you think "I wouldn't pay a dollar for that." There were something things that made you think "I can't believe this is only a dollar!"
