well I've just finished the centre area of the quilt - bar the eyes/mouth shapes - I consulted with my quilt teacher and she thinks that it would be fine to leave as is or do a few - but not all! - pairs eyes/mouth scattered across the quilt.
I'm going to do the border and add the sleeve and binding before I decide - then it will be a matter of moments before I can load up the quilt to hand in instead of panic stations at the last second
but before I start I'm loading a few more bobbins - I have run out of full ones and an *not* starting a line of quilting all the way round the quilt without enough thread in the bobbin!
