Sorry rctq - should have been sent to a friend doing a course on crewel embroidery
My mistake!
The don't call it "crewel" for nothing!
not to worry - I'm sure I'm not the only one who took the time to peek and drool :-)
This was interesting non the less! I forwarded the info to my tutor!She teaches embroidery!

including a bedspread for the Queen Mother's bed at Glamis (in both the news and the about us section).
I went to a talk by Philippa several years ago and she brought part of the bedspread to show us - it was all on silk - fantastic. Apparently the silk she used cost three arms and three legs!

Don't apologize! I love those sites. I am actually doing more embroidery right now than quilting. I just love it.
