My current project...

After being away from quilt making for two years, I'm making my husband his first quilt from me. Every other one I have made has gone mostly to daughters, granddaughters, mom, grandma. I don't even own one that I've finished. I have a couple of tops that will eventually be mine.

Last night I snapped this picture of my QI. As a friend of mine commented on the picture on facebook, "Cat tested. Feline approved."

Tee, hee!! How cute! I might have to download him into my Webshots and use him as wallpaper for a few days. OK? Kay

It's fine with me Kay. That's my Max. He is just a few months away from being 15 years old.

One of those quilt tops I have yet to finish has squares from you. It was the Starry Starry Night quilt block exchange. Actually there are three of yours in the top. I sashed yellow around half the block and printed names and locations where each block came from. I gotta get this finished!

Oh my goodness, I've still got those Starry Starry Nights blocks tucked away somewhere! I think I did start to make a plan in EQ and bought some border and sashing fabric.

Max reminds me of my Li'l Red Fox who had to be put down when he was 17. That was back in my Indianapolis days probably in 1998. I must have pictures of him somewhere that I could scan into my WebShots albums.

Kay,

Would love to see pics of your Li'l Red Fox. I love kitties! I'll take pictures of my Starry night quilt top and post them. It is fourth in line to be worked on after my DH quilt. I know I have the backing fabric for it. I've felt so much more motivated on getting some long overdue things finished since I've started this latest quilt.

Thanks Amy. The fabric is not flannel. I picked up the backing this weekend at Joann's for 50% off! Woot woot!

I've just started to quilt mine. I used the setting that Jessamy gave, except mine is smaller - sort of giant lap size. Nice and warm to quilt on a chilly evening - I've used a wool batting for the first time and it hand quilts like a dream.

Sally, I have some of your blocks too! You are going to have post some pictures for us to see! I'm going to hang mine on a wall in my granddaughter's bedroom at our house. Mary O'Neill in Arizona

Think I will have to wait for a bit of sun before I get the camera out. Its so dark and miserable here at the moment and it would probably be easier outside and better without the flash and using natural light.

Lights on at 3.00pm I do not like! We seem to get a reasonable day - spirits rise - then back to greyness. Still, it isn't as cold as it was, and no snow.
